Chief Steward

We are currently seeking for young, dynamic, self-motivated Food & Beverage professionals who assist to organize and direct a team that develops top quality of food & beverage products, with prompt, accurate and personalized service. As a Chief Steward you are responsible to assist the Stewarding Manager to enforce the highest possible cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food processing facilities, as well as the operating equipment.

• Provide functional assistance and direction and be responsible for the smooth running of the whole stewarding operation.
• Supervise the duties of all stewarding department employees, facilities, operation and costs.
• Supervise the sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene as well as the quality level of product and services.
• Check more specifically the proper use of chemicals and washing accessories.
• Coordinate with the Stewarding Manager in establishing minimum and maximum operating par stocks and supplies and approve storeroom requisition.
• Co-ordinate with the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Outlet Manager to check their requirements for the day and the next day.
• Maintain health inspection record, attendance record and file on casual employees.
• Take all necessary actions to reduce the loss of silverware / flatware.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests' and employees' health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in Stewarding in a supervisory role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
• Positive attitude and a team player.
