Job Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel on power transmission sites. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environment (HSE) regulations and standards.

The position requires the ability to conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and develop safe work procedures specific to power transmission projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with site management, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safe work procedures specific to power transmission projects.
  • Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel on relevant safety topics, including electrical safety, fall protection, and emergency response.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage and control work permits, including hot work permits, confined space entry permits, and excavation permits.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health and safety regulations, as well as company policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a technical subject, such as engineering or environmental science.
  • Minimum six years' experience in HSE function, preferably in power transmission industry.
  • NEBOSH (IGC certificate), IOSH MS Certificate, IRCA Approved Lead Auditor ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and other related certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
