Static Piping Design Specialist

Main Responsibilities:
  • Generate detailed design documents by translating limited information from Concept Selection Reports and Basis for Design.
  • Supervise a team of piping engineers and designers assigned to a project area, ensuring timely completion of deliverables according to DCAF requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of Basis for Design and Project Specifications/Philosophies, aligning with technical safety requirements.
  • Create Equipment Layout / Plot Plan based on Technical Safety Requirements.
  • Design Piping Layout in 2D/3D environments, incorporating PEFS/UEFS standards.
  • Identify stress-critical lines and perform stress analysis to ensure structural integrity.
  • Select or develop piping classes based on Material Selection Requirements (MSR).
  • Develop specifications for piping materials and specialty items, adhering to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition standards.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to provide input for deliverables as needed.
  • Participate in assurance reviews, including Layout Review, Model Review, Design Review, etc.
  • Support procurement and construction activities, providing critical technical information.
  • Responsible for obtaining As-Built information and developing solutions when it's missing.
  • Manage technical clarifications, scope changes, and internal approvals.
  • Coordinate with asset teams for accurate information exchange.
  • Oversee all technical changes, obtain approval from Discipline Leads (HOD), and manage Scope change confirmations (TIN).
  • Make informed decisions on changes and manage action closeouts for Assurance Reviews.
  • Accountable for raising, uploading, liaising, and managing Technical Variances.
  • Approve TPS Final reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
