Rust Software Engineer Opportunities

We are seeking exceptional software engineers to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative open-source solutions. As a Rust software engineer, you will be working on designing and implementing well-tested and well-documented software in Rust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software in Rust
  • Advocate for Rust adoption in our projects
  • Identify projects that could benefit from Rust adoption
  • Debug and fix issues encountered by users
  • Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
  • Collaborate with colleagues on technical specifications
  • Seek improvements to engineering practices
  • In some cases, deploy and operate services developed by the team

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs
  • A track record of delivering high-quality software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for Linux and system-level programming
  • Professional experience with Rust and its ecosystem

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience developing for Ubuntu
  • Knowledge of performance engineering and security best practices
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes
