Software Development Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Expert to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with us in building the distro of the future.

The ideal candidate will have experience in software engineering, particularly in open source maintenance or contributions. They will be able to collaborate proactively within a distributed team and foster a software ecosystem with seamless user experience for all users.

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating contributions of other engineers to maintain high-quality software standards. You will also play a key role in shaping the future of our platform via both new ideas in your areas of interest and advising on work being done elsewhere.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or similar field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly in open source maintenance or contributions.
  • Experience with languages such as C/C++, Python, Rust, Go, Ruby, PHP.
  • Knowledge of packaging ecosystems, including deb, rpm, NixOS, and containerization stacks.
