Job Description

We are looking for a skilled construction project manager to lead our building operations team. As a project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with experience in planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects. You will also need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and coordinate construction projects, including setting timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  2. Collaborate with designers, architects, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements.
  3. Negotiate contracts with outside vendors to reach profitable agreements.
  4. Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
  5. Determine required resources, including workforce, equipment, and materials, while considering financial constraints.
  6. Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
  7. Acquire equipment and materials, monitoring stocks to manage deficiencies effectively.
  8. Employ contractors and allocate responsibilities.
  9. Supervise workers, technicians, and other staff, providing assistance when needed.
  10. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
  11. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, reporting any issues.
Requirements and Skills:
  1. Proven experience as a project manager in the construction industry.
  2. In-depth understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
  3. Knowledge of quality and health and safety standards.
  4. Good proficiency in MS Office.
  5. Experience with construction/project management software.
  6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  8. A team player with leadership capabilities.
  9. Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  10. PMP certification or comparable qualification is highly valued.
