The Role: Software Engineer

This role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable software systems for Ceph & Distributed Storage. As part of Cloud Engineering, you will build modelling software to drive systems such as OpenStack, Ceph, and Kubernetes with a focus on distributed storage and Ceph. You will work with a globally distributed team to engineer solutions to scale in production, ensuring customer needs are met while adopting cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write high-quality, rigorous Python and Golang software.
  • Collaborate proactively with the team.
  • Debug issues and produce high-quality code to fix them.
  • Contribute to technical documentation defining best practices for operator authoring.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or similar field.
  • Experience with modern, maintainable Python programming.
  • Background in Ceph storage.
  • Passion for technology and collaboration with talented individuals.
