Job Overview
\The Financial Operations Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of financial operations, overseeing accounting activities, maintaining vendor/customer relationships, and adhering to financial policies and regulations.
\Responsibilities:

- Entering, monitoring, and reviewing every financial transaction of the organization and tasks assigned by management, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and international financial reporting standards.\
- Timely payment to suppliers and other statutory and regulatory payments.\
- Perform month-end accounting activities such as bank reconciliations and closing journal entries.\
- Ensure timely invoicing to customers and maintain their ageing status up to date, implementing a strong follow-up mechanism for collections and recoveries.\
- Ensure the liquidity of the company and proactively report any forthcoming liquidity deficits.\
- Maintain good relationships with banks by arranging timely payments of loans or markups.\
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of records and documentation, both in soft and hard files.\
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with business partners in a timely fashion.\
- Conduct reconciliations and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.\
- Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.\
- Assist in preparing and submitting financial statements, profit and loss analysis, balance sheet schedules, variances, and reporting these to management according to set timelines and KPIs.\
- Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.\
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues and trainees when needed.\
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts for the organization and its subsidiaries according to set timelines.\
- Tax filing (VAT/WHT/Income tax) before deadlines.\
- Lead quarterly/annual audit activities and liaise with auditors for timely completion.\
- Improve accounting systems by revamping existing systems where required.\
- Propose creation of GL codes and item codes for inventory, enabling better management reporting and standardization of COA at the parent level.\
- Create reporting templates for management reporting according to requirements.\
- Perform all other tasks assigned by the reporting manager or Chief Financial Officer.\
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, minimizing the risk of fraud and errors.\
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective financial management.\
