Corporate Governance Officer

Job Description

The role of Corporate Governance Officer involves ensuring that our company complies with all relevant laws and regulations. This includes monitoring legal affairs, contract management, risk management, dispute resolution, and legal research.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department to achieve this goal. Key deliverables include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts; monitoring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; identifying and mitigating legal risks; handling dispute resolution processes; conducting legal research and providing timely advice to various departments within the organization.

This is a key role in our company and requires a strong understanding of corporate governance principles, laws, and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Law or Commercial Law and working knowledge of Omani Law, commercial companies' law, and public joint stock in Oman.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Law or Commercial Law
  • Working knowledge of Omani Law, commercial companies' law, and public joint stock in Oman
  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills
  • Good negotiation skills with government bodies
  • Good interpretation of financial statements
  • Bilingual (Arabic/English) proficiency
