Drilling Operations Technician

The Role of a Repair and Maintenance Technician in Drilling Services is to ensure the quality, safety, and compliance with standards while contributing to field readiness and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify various types of Directional Drilling tools and downhole equipment.
- Perform required checks as per R&M procedures and tool manuals.
- Ensure all disassembled parts are sent for inspection and updates are made in the tracking system.
- Coordinate with operations to meet field schedule requirements.
- Assemble DD Motors as per job requirements.
- Operate BreakOut Machine and Overhead Crane.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and HSE reporting.
- Report job failures promptly and submit failure reports and evidence for investigations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Ensure shop equipment and tools are in good working condition.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Demonstrate commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Be an active part of the Failure Investigation team.
- Adhere to Drilling Services Zero Tolerance Rules.

- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Team player with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Education and Technical Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). Good computer skills; ability to work with business software.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Motor Assembly and Disassembly. Certified/competent Breakout Machine Operator. Certified/competent Overhead Crane Operator.
