New York-Style Pizza Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pizza professional to join our team as an expert in the field of NY-style pizza. This individual will be responsible for leading pizza operations, mentoring the kitchen team, and ensuring consistency, quality, and authenticity across all offerings.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Crafting hand-tossed, thin-crust New York-style pizzas with precision and passion.
  • Leading the dough-making process, including mixing, fermenting, portioning, and proofing.
  • Operating, maintaining, and calibrating deck or stone ovens for optimal cooking performance.
  • Preparing sauces, cheeses, and toppings according to brand standards and recipes.
  • Ensuring all pizzas meet presentation, portioning, and timing expectations.
  • Training and supervising kitchen staff on dough handling, topping prep, baking, and hygiene standards.
  • Developing and documenting training materials, SOPs, and checklists.
  • Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations.
  • Monitoring kitchen inventory and coordinating with the purchasing team as needed.
  • Supporting menu development with seasonal or innovative pizza concepts.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience making New York-style pizza in a professional kitchen.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and lead kitchen staff.
  • Deep understanding of dough fermentation techniques and pizza oven operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in a local or artisan brand setting is preferred.
  • Commitment to quality, consistency, and teamwork.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
