Job Summary

  • This role involves overseeing the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure efficient operations.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute maintenance plans across multiple rigs, aligning with operational requirements and minimizing downtime.
  2. Utilize business intelligence tools for planning and forecasting of planned work orders.
  3. Understand rig operations to plan and utilize operational flat times for preventive maintenance.
  4. Maintain strong financial awareness and budget control.
  5. Monitor and close work orders in a timely manner, ensuring accurate records within the company's computerized preventive maintenance system.
  6. Evaluate recurring equipment failures, determine root causes, and recommend long-term solutions.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage, mentor, and coach rig-based maintenance crews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to senior maintenance personnel on rigs, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Cross-functional coordination with operations, and HSE departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with explosion-proof installation and maintenance regulations; certification is preferred.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization

  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance costs while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.
  • Closely work with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of critical spare parts and reduce lead times.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 8-10 years of maintenance experience in the oil and gas drilling industry; electrical background preferred.
  • Strong expertise in mechanized drilling equipment and power plant equipment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, SCR/VFD drives, PLCs, and explosion-proof equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems and work order management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulatory standards.
  • Certification in explosion-proof installation and maintenance is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
