Job Description

The Field Operator will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, working closely with the CCR Operator to monitor system parameters and coordinate activities.

Key Tasks

  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations, including familiarity with fire equipment.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of plant P&IDs, SOPs, work instructions, and basic control logics.
  • Monitor local parameters and maintain accurate records, summarizing shift activities/events in the log book.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment parameters are within limits, reporting any abnormalities to the CCR Operator/Shift Supervisor/Shift In Charge.
  • Perform equipment changeovers according to schedule, raising work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.
  • Coordinate with the CCR Operator/Shift Supervisor/Shift In Charge for isolating and lining up equipment and systems before and after maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper cleanup after maintenance work.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Support the training and familiarization of new operators.
  • Identify and report near misses, implementing prescribed risk controls.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a local operator in various plant types.
  • Strong awareness of HSE & quality standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of plant processes and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of waste management practices.
  • Familiarity with firefighting equipment.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity and respect.
  • Strong understanding of power/water/solar plant operations.
  • Good communication skills.
