Shipping Traffic Controller

Success in this role will be measured against several key performance indicators, including the safe and efficient movement of vessels through the port, adherence to departmental policies and procedures, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to prepare sectional statements and reports accurately and timely, meeting SIP Group and department requirements, policies, and standards. To achieve these goals, you must possess excellent leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and physical fitness to carry out duties in a 24/7 roster.
Minimum Requirements
A Master Mariner Class 1 certificate with STCW95 compliance is required, along with comprehensive experience in navigation, marine law, seamanship, marine safety, stability, and ship handling. Strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and communication skills are also necessary, as is the ability to manage an incident and provide leadership. Physical fitness to carry out duties in a 24/7 roster is essential.
