Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Data Privacy Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all personal data is processed in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conducting privacy impact assessments and collaborating closely with business stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Implementing and maintaining an internal reporting mechanism for personal data processing activities, requiring adherence from business unit/process owners.
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations on the interpretation and application of data protection rules.
  • Reviewing internal policies, processes, and procedures to guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Educating and training staff members on compliance matters through training sessions and awareness initiatives, while providing guidance on applicable laws and regulations through policies and procedures.
  • Conducting quality assurance reviews to ensure divisions, units, and branches comply with relevant laws and regulations related to their areas of business/operations.

Requirements:

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or information security, or a related field.
  • Analytical and reasoning skills, as well as effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Prioritization, planning, and time management skills, along with objective and fact-based decision-making abilities.
  • Accuracy and attention to details, coupled with command over English language (additional languages may be beneficial). Prior experience in similar roles (0-3 years) is desirable.
