Our team is seeking a skilled Engineering Professional to join us in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

About the Job

This role involves directing daily engineering needs, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for planning and assigning work, developing your team's skills, and maintaining relations with external contacts. Additionally, you will control expenses and ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily engineering needs and plan assignments to meet hotel requirements.
  • Develop and improve team performance through coaching, feedback, and performance goals.
  • Maintain relations with external contacts, including regulatory agencies and guests.
  • Control expenses and minimize waste within maintenance areas.

You will be working closely with the IT Manager to follow up on outstanding points from the latest audit and maintain compliance with regulatory policies.

Accountabilities

This role may include supervising a small maintenance staff and being responsible for hotel security, minimizing risks and hazards. You will also be responsible for maintaining and ordering parts and supplies while adhering to 'green' initiatives.

Requirements
  • Advanced vocational training or equivalent experience.
  • Four years' experience in general building maintenance and/or construction.
  • Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields.
  • Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificate, licensed plumber, and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter.
