Job Overview:
Sohar is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Vice President, including managing schedules, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings.

Main Responsibilities:
Provide administrative assistance to the Vice President, including:
  • Managing schedules and preparing reports
  • Coordinating meetings and ensuring efficient communication
Maintain and organize documentation, including project records, contracts, and correspondence. Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and follow-ups.

Planning and Coordination:
Assist in planning and coordinating sustainability initiatives and events, including workshops and forums. Collaborate with Directors and Managers to track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall sustainability goals. Develop and monitor operational plans and performance metrics. Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and follow up on action items.

Financial Management:
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets for sustainability projects and initiatives. Support the management of financial records, including expense tracking and invoice processing. Liaise with the finance team to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Prepare periodic financial summaries and reports for the Vice President's review.

Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices taking into account global best standards, productivity improvement, and cost reduction. Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services, and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in accounting or administration. Fresh graduates with 1-2 years of experience in coordination are an advantage. Discipline in managing office tasks, good computing skills, and ability to work in MS Office programs are essential. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality are also required. Effective planning and organizing, customer-service orientation, and strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
