We are looking for a skilled Department Head - External Public Relations to lead our external communications efforts.

This key role involves managing and administering English communication, overseeing day-to-day management of our agency of choice, and arranging ExCo's attendance at national and regional conferences.

You will be expected to develop and implement effective PR strategies to promote our brand, manage our image and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Planning and coordinating press events to ensure exceptional delivery and execution.
  • Collaborating closely with events, sponsorship and communications teams.
  • Liaising with our PR team for group-wide initiatives and sharing Nawras activities with the Group.

You will be responsible for managing the agency of choice in the preparation of English written and verbal communication materials, coordinating with relevant people and departments to gather necessary information for various external and internal communications channels.

Your key responsibilities will also include:

  • Developing case studies, articles and interviews for/with journalists featuring Nawras.
  • Tracking share of voice and revenue of press clippings on a daily/monthly basis to maintain and grow recognition.
  • Preparing weekly reports of activities.
  • Submitting proposals for telecom awards to enhance Nawras' reputation as an innovative leading telco in the Middle East region.
  • Coordinating conference arrangements for ExCo speaking engagements, including preparing presentations and white papers.
  • Assisting in formulating annual media and communication plans.

To succeed in this role, you should possess a degree in journalism, corporate affairs or a similar subject, with a minimum of 8 years (related) of experience, preferably in English language publications. Strong negotiation skills, organisation skills and fluency in English and Arabic are essential.
