Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a support worker for elderly patients in Nizwa, Oman.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves providing quality care and support to elderly patients. As a support worker, you will be responsible for assisting with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, administering medication as prescribed by a physician, monitoring patient's vital signs and reporting any changes to medical staff, planning and preparing nutritious meals for the patient, accompanying the patient to appointments or outings, and providing emotional support and companionship to the patient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medication as prescribed by a physician
  • Monitor patient's vital signs and report any changes to medical staff
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals for the patient
  • Accompany patient to appointments or outings
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to the patient

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a caregiver or working with elderly individuals is preferred
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Urdu/Hindi is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient nature
  • Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
