We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Strategic Planner. This individual will be responsible for leading and executing long-term strategic planning initiatives, including sector studies and infrastructure planning.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in the energy sector, with a strong background in gas planning and dispatch. They will possess a deep understanding of Oman's Gas Network system and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and executing long-term strategic planning initiatives
  • Conducting pricing analysis and forecasting commodity prices
  • Assessing available supply and demand, and performing sensitivity analyses on scenarios and assumptions
  • Providing guidance and leadership to teams, ensuring plans are comprehensive and effective

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Master's degree in engineering, economics or business (desired)
  • Project Management certification (preferred)
  • Understanding of Oman's Gas Network system and relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Relevant experience in gas planning and dispatch, investment management, and strategy roles
