Technical Supervisor Role

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Technical Supervisor to oversee the technical aspects of our hotel's operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, organizing, and directing technical activities to ensure smooth hotel operations and adherence to quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Technical Supervisor will be responsible for supervising team leaders and subordinates, monitoring completed repair and maintenance works, implementing the Jumeirah Engineering Management System (JEMS), and addressing grievances and complaints from colleagues.

  • Supervise and oversee daily activities of team leaders and subordinates to ensure smooth operations and adherence to procedures.
  • Monitor and inspect completed repair and maintenance works to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
  • Implement, coordinate, and monitor JEMS, including systems for fire safety, life safety, preventive maintenance, and work orders.
  • Address and handle grievances, suggestions, and complaints from colleagues, recommending appropriate actions as necessary.
  • Request support and direction as needed to effectively carry out duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure familiarity with and compliance with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to team leaders and subordinates, offering assistance and advice on technical matters as required.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess equipment, facilities, and systems for compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to address technical issues, collaborate on projects, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.


Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a Mechanical or Electrical diploma or equivalent, with a Health & Safety Certificate. A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering is desirable. Additionally, the candidate should have software competencies in Microsoft Office programs (Intermediate | Advanced), knowledge of HVAC Systems, BMS competencies, and FLS competencies. Problem-solving, leadership and team management skills, creativity, and project management skills are essential for this role.

This position is based in Oman-Muscat.
