The Assistant Purchasing Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Supplier Management: Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability. Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and assist in onboarding new suppliers.
  • Purchase Order Processing: Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational needs. Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to track stock levels and avoid overstock or shortages.
  • Negotiation and Communication: Work with the Purchasing Manager to negotiate favourable pricing and terms. Help evaluate vendor performance and address any issues related to delivery or quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree holder in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles, preferably in the same industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
