Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our team at Port of Duqm Company SAOC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the sourcing function, ensuring optimal productivity and performance of the department. This includes participating in project teams to define and develop sourcing work scopes, allocating responsibilities to team members, and ensuring adherence to sourcing procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant field, with at least 6 years of experience in sourcing, preferably in port services or logistics industry.

A strong knowledge of sourcing, contract management, and leadership skills is essential. The ability to build strong relationships, excellent communication and organizational skills, and advanced negotiation skills are also required.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the sourcing team and ensuring optimal productivity and performance
  • Participating in project teams to define and develop sourcing work scopes
  • Allocating responsibilities to team members and ensuring adherence to sourcing procedures
  • Developing and reviewing tenders, including proposed materials, overhead costs, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and preparing contract letters and other communications
  • Negotiating contract terms to ensure projects remain within established budgets
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and implementing strategies to safeguard contractual and commercial risk
