Job Description

This position entails the integration of various systems and applications within a bank's infrastructure. The Middleware Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex integration services and APIs based on industry standards and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience with IBM products such as App Connect Enterprise (previously Integration Bus), DataPower, and API Connect. They must also possess strong technical skills, including programming experience in Java and JEE systems, and a working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and RDBMS databases.

Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish confidence and rapport with business stakeholders and coworkers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex integration services and APIs
  • Provide technical support for IT projects involving integration between applications
  • Maintain and upgrade supported systems, including operation of utilities for customer system and data implementations
  • Resolve issues and perform root cause analysis for production incidents

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • IBM Professional Certification in App Connect Enterprise or Integration Bus
  • Relevant IT/Technology professional certifications desired
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in design, development, and support of IT software solutions
  • 6 years of hands-on experience in design and development of integration solutions using IBM MQ
  • Experience in API (RESTful) and Web Services (SOAP) design, development, and testing
