Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and group coaching sessions to support students' academic success by focusing on study strategies, time management, organization, and goal setting.

  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes to inform coaching practices and measure program effectiveness.

  • Identify at-risk students, develop tailored coaching plans, and provide targeted support to empower them towards academic achievement.

  • Assist students in navigating academic resources, including tutoring, advising, and counseling services, to foster a supportive learning environment.

  • Design and deliver workshops or seminars on academic success topics to equip students with essential skills and knowledge.

  • Foster student accountability and self-advocacy by encouraging open communication, empathy, and mutual respect.

  • Stay informed on current best practices in academic coaching and student development to continually improve coaching services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Master's preferred for advanced roles).

  • Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in academic advising, coaching, or counseling, to understand their unique needs and circumstances.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust, establish rapport, and effectively engage with students from diverse backgrounds.

  • Show ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals and objectives.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in using digital tools for scheduling, data tracking, and communication to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of learning theories, motivational strategies, and educational technologies to create engaging and effective coaching experiences.

  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including first-generation college students or students with learning challenges, to promote inclusive and equitable coaching practices.
