Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel on-site. The HSE Advisor will be the focal point for all health, safety, and environmental matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Familiarize with OQ and OPAL HSE procedures and requirements to ensure compliance.
  2. Maintain accurate records of HSE statistics, tracking progress and performance metrics.
  3. Provide assistance to site members on various queries related to health, safety, and environment.
  4. Monitor and follow up on compliance with the Monitoring plan, advising site personnel on client requirements and report submission to the Site HSSE Manager.
  5. Support site personnel with problems related to HSE implementation, providing guidance and training as needed.
  6. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards on-site and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  7. Prepare weekly/monthly site visit/inspection schedules to monitor HSE compliance, reviewing performance on new HSE activities.
  8. Submit weekly and monthly HSE performance measurement reports to the HSE Manager and relevant authorities.
  9. Maintain records of HSE meetings, ensuring routine meetings take place.
  10. Maintain Audit log, NCR Log, Action Tracking Register, Default Log, Training record, and incident log, keeping supporting documents organized.
  11. Create HSE Alerts, bulletins, and conduct awareness sessions to promote a culture of safety.
  12. Conduct frequent site visits for auditing, inspection, training, and advising.
  13. Investigate accidents/incidents, near misses, first aid cases, and follow-up reports, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  14. Maintain copies of incident reports, providing monthly reports and required documents to the Site HSE Manager.
  15. Be actively involved in documentation, implementation, and audits of corrective actions.
  16. Demonstrate active involvement in HSE training programs, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  17. Work collaboratively as part of a team, fostering open communication and cooperation.
  18. Maintain records of subcontractors, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  19. Perform safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  20. Investigate accidents or near-misses to determine root causes, recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  21. Organize and conduct safety training sessions for all site personnel, including toolbox talks and induction training for new workers.
  22. Stay updated on the latest HSE laws and regulations, ensuring the construction site meets all legal requirements.
  23. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  24. Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management and relevant authorities, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
