Job Title: Power Plant Engineer

Overview

As a seasoned Power Plant Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and maintenance of power plant operations. Your expertise in mechanical engineering will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of turbines and auxiliaries.

With your extensive knowledge in designing and detail engineering of power plants, combined cycle power plants, gas-based power plants, and other related equipment, you will be responsible for preparing technical specifications, tender evaluations, and vendor drawings reviews.

Additionally, your hands-on experience in site engineering, project management, and team coordination will enable you to efficiently manage projects from conceptualization to commissioning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare technical specifications for turbines and auxiliaries.
  2. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
  3. Develop detailed project reports, including design details and cost estimates.
  4. Prepare EPC tender specifications for power plants, incorporating input from various disciplines.
  5. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  6. Collaborate with HR departments to manage personnel and maintain a skilled workforce.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power plant engineering, design, and construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with engineering software (e.g., CAD, CAE).
  • Knowledge of electrical, civil, and instrumentation engineering principles.
  • Fluency in local languages (e.g., Urdu).
