Job Title: Field Communication Specialist

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Communication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our communication systems infrastructure in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior engineers with daily network operations and projects.
  • Maintain all communication systems infrastructure in the field, including VSAT, Switches, Routers, Wireless LAN, telephone systems, wifi access points, Radios, and Thuraya units.
  • Administer and support network backbone and edge switches.
  • Coordinate with ISPs and manage administrative tasks such as Purchase orders, Inventory control, and equipment disposal.
  • Detect and resolve hardware and software issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic techniques.
  • Ensure proper logging and tracking of user problems using established IT ticketing systems.
  • Test and install new equipment as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronics/Communications Engineering or minimum 4 years experience in telecommunication and networking field.
  • Attended Cisco technical courses like CCNA, Redline, or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in Oil and Gas Companies.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, Networking Technologies, Routing and switching protocols, Cisco Call Manager, and Cisco wireless controller.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, Access Points, and IP Phones.
  • Willingsness to work overtime/overnight as required.
