Role Overview

Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in breakthrough initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT.

The Public Cloud team seeks enthusiastic engineers to work closely with the Ubuntu Engineering organization ensuring technologies are optimized for public clouds. To achieve this goal, candidates must have strong technical skills and experience in cloud computing, software development, and collaboration.

Candidates will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize cloud optimization opportunities
  • Designing and implementing solutions to improve cloud performance and efficiency
  • Developing and maintaining software components that support Ubuntu on public clouds
