Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Cost Manager to join our team. As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for preparing contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses, as well as advising on the administration of construction works or services contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Contract Preparation: Prepare contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses, and assist with formal execution by the appropriate parties.
  • Cost Valuation: Measure and provide valuations of work carried out, adjust variations in accordance with contract terms, and agree with the contractor.
  • Reporting: Prepare financial reports for clients in the required form and frequency.
  • Claims Assessment: Participate in the evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs made by contractors and nominated subcontractors/suppliers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need extensive years of experience in cost management, knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks relating to construction.

You should also have developing experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders, understanding present-day issues such as sustainability, social value, and carbon reduction, and a strong understanding of industry best practices.
