Job Summary

The General Manager serves as the primary strategic business leader of the hotel, responsible for all aspects of operation.

  • Establishing a strong market presence and reputation through proactive sales activities.
  • Verifying implementation of service strategy to meet or exceed guest expectations and increase profit and market share.
  • Aligning individual and team actions with strategies and plans to drive business results.
  • Pursuing top-line performances based on pre-agreed targets.
  • BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH OWNERS AND BRAND OPERATORS THROUGH PROACTIVE COMMUNICATION.
  • Creating an efficient cost structure through effective control of expenses and enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Achieving service excellence above the competitive set.
  • Improving and maintaining positive morale and motivation levels amongst staff.

Sustainable Local Economic Value Creation

  1. Improving Omanisation levels and development of local talent into key positions.
  2. Procuring locally produced goods and services.
  3. LOCALISING AND EMBRACING THE CULTURAL CONTEXT OF OUR GUESTS' EXPERIENCE.
  4. Building strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers.

Requirements and Key Tasks

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five years' experience as a General Manager in an internationally branded full-service luxury hotel.
  • At least 10 years of experience in executive management of operations, sales and marketing, food and beverage, or related professional area of luxury hospitality.
  • Property industry work experience demonstrating progressive career growth and exceptional performance.
  • Degree from an accredited university.
