Job Title: Floor Supervisor – Duct Factory

Job Location: Muscat, Sultanate of Oman

Job Summary:

The Floor Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities in the duct fabrication factory. The role includes managing manpower, monitoring production schedules, ensuring product quality, maintaining machinery efficiency, and coordinating with the production and project teams to meet delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Supervision: Plan and supervise daily duct fabrication activities to meet production targets.
  • Target Achievement: Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and yearly Production targets through consistent effort and planning.
  • Workforce Management: Allocate tasks and monitor the performance of fabricators, helpers, and machine operators.
  • Quality Control: Ensure ducts and accessories are fabricated as per approved drawings, standards, and specifications.
  • Material Management: Monitor raw material availability, issue requests for replenishment, and minimize wastage.
  • Machine Operation & Maintenance: Ensure all machines (plasma, lock forming, bending, shearing, etc.) are properly used and maintained.
  • Coordination: Liaise with the Production Engineer, Storekeeper, and Project Team to ensure timely delivery to site.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Reporting: Prepare daily production reports and highlight delays or issues to management.
  • Training & Supervision: Guide new workers and ensure adherence to quality and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Fabrication Engineering.
  • 7–12 years of experience in duct fabrication and factory supervision (preferably with an HVAC or MEP contracting company).
  • Strong knowledge of GI, PI ducts, duct fittings, and fabrication standards (SMACNA/DW144).
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
  • Good leadership, communication, and planning skills.
