Job Description

Position: Field Pipeline Facilities / Static Equipment Supervisor

Job Description:

Reporting to Field Superintendent, will monitor the Pipeline and Static Equipment installations to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures and with the project objectives, safety, quality, productivity, schedule and cost.

  • Supervise the installation including Lifting work & installation detail.
  • The Supervisor will review and approve all on plot fabrication / erection works with respect to the approved procedures and drawings for the project. He will inspect daily the fabrication and erection works of Piping works at stations.
  • Review and verify project specifications, installation procedure, ITP, method statement drawings before start of work / activities.
  • Responsible for pre-install and alignment check, tag weld pad, lift-up equipment, seal weld pad, install back equipment. Alignment check, level check, center check, plumbness, coupling alignment, gap check, bolt torque and manage Punch List issue.
  • Supervise Mechanical Contractors during the execution of construction activities at construction site.
  • Participate in reviewing method statements, material requisitions, and etc.
  • Supervise and approve construction activities.
  • Issue Material issue vouchers allowing contractors to collect the material from inventory store.
  • Report progress on the activities, versus the contractor's programs, and advice of any potential slippages.
  • Review and comment on the contractors planning related to Piping activities.
  • Carryout daily checks on contractor's staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with the project schedule.
  • Handle all aspects of Piping / Mechanical / Pipeline Construction activities.
  • Good knowledge in reading and understanding Isometrics.
  • Good knowledge in reading under understanding P&IDs and Equipment related General arrangement drawings.
  • Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensures that the project construction work is carried out as per the assigned schedule and resolves all the construction problems on the spot, so as to improve the productivity.
  • Participate In development of as-built drawings/documentation.
  • Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to end user.
  • Accountable for supervising contractor's work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems, and preventing accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing CCED safety standards on the work
  • Liaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality related matters.
  • Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related matters.

Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum experience required is 15 years as a Pipeline Facilities / Static Equipment Supervisor or

Construction Engineer responsible for inspection / construction of medium size to major EPC projects related to Oil and Gas industries.

  • The personnel shall be specialists in Construction / Inspection works of Station Piping / Booster Stations
