The Opportunity

As a Senior AI Engineer at Orki, you will be a technical leader driving the strategy and development of our platform's cognitive core. You will move beyond feature execution to take ownership of the architectural vision for our most complex AI systems. This role is for a seasoned expert who can not only build but also guide, mentor, and set the standard for technical excellence within the team. You will have the autonomy to make critical design decisions for our next-generation agents—from their reasoning and memory capabilities to their voice interfaces—and the opportunity to shape the technical direction of a product set to define the future of AI in MENA e-commerce.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of our most advanced AI/ML systems, setting the technical vision for our agentic platform.
• Take ownership of the architecture for key AI components, including our agentic RAG systems that query large-scale relational, graph, and vector databases.
• Mentor and guide other AI engineers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
• Establish and enforce best practices for the entire MLOps lifecycle, ensuring our systems are scalable, reliable, and continuously improving.
• Architect and engineer sophisticated memory management systems that provide our agents with long-term, coherent contextual understanding.
• Drive the technical roadmap for our end-to-end voice agents, making key decisions on the architecture for speech recognition, synthesis, and conversational logic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Product, Platform, Operations) to translate business requirements into a robust and scalable technical strategy.

Core Technical Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior or lead AI/ML engineering role
  , with a proven track record of delivering complex AI systems to production.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in designing and building advanced RAG architectures
  with experience querying diverse database types (SQL, graph databases, vector stores).
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and
  mentor other engineers.
• Mastery of Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Expertise in the full lifecycle of LLMs, including fine-tuning, advanced prompt engineering, and optimization techniques for low-latency inference.
• Significant experience in developing voice-based conversational AI and a deep understanding of agent memory systems.
• A strong command of MLOps principles and experience building and managing production-grade CI/CD pipelines for machine learning.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
