Founded in 1994, United Securities LLC is a prominent Investment Management firm in Oman. We offer Asset Management, Corporate Finance solutions, Investment Research, and Brokerage services in the GCC region. Our firm also manages an open-ended mutual fund that invests primarily in GCC equities. As of December 2017, the assets under our management stood at approximately USD 300 million.

Lead discretionary portfolio mandates for high-net-worth and institutional clients focused on GCC markets. You'll own the full investment lifecycle—mandate design, security selection, execution, risk management, client reporting, and governance—aiming to deliver consistent, risk-adjusted outperformance versus benchmarks and within stated guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a significant capital allocation by creating, executing, and monitoring an alpha-driven investment strategy.
  • Bring a fundamentally driven investment process with a rigorous approach to portfolio construction and risk management.
  • Implement robust risk management, continuously assessing the merits of all positions and investment thesis.
  • Work closely with equity research analysts on security selection
  • Ensure strict compliance with all industry regulations and internal risk controls.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4–8 years in portfolio management or buy-side investment roles with demonstrable GCC market experience.
  • Proven track record running or co-managing discretionary mandates or model portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of GCC market microstructure (Tadawul, DFM, ADX, Boursa Kuwait, QSE, Bahrain Bourse, MSX), settlement cycles, corporate actions, and index methodologies (MSCI/FTSE).
  • Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Business or related
  • CFA Level II/III candidate and MBA would be an added advantage
  • Act as the primary client liaison, building strong relationships by understanding financial goals and proactively addressing inquiries and concerns.

Technical Skills

  • Financial modeling and valuation (DCF, comps, dividend/FCF models), credit analysis for sukuk and conventional bonds.
