About The Job
The Lobby Ambassador – Omani Culture at Mandarin Oriental, Muscat, serves as the cultural face of the hotel and the symbolic gateway to Oman. As the first point of contact for guests entering the hotel, this role blends Mandarin Oriental's legendary hospitality with the warmth, heritage, and traditions of the Sultanate of Oman. Positioned in the heart of the lobby, the Ambassador ensures every guest encounter reflects a deep sense of place and pride in Omani identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Interaction & Cultural Representation.
• Greet all guests in traditional Omani attire with warmth and professionalism.
• Share insights into Omani customs, traditions, and etiquette.
• Offer dates, Omani coffee, or incense where appropriate.
• Recommend cultural attractions and local experiences.
• Lobby Presence & Guest Experience Support.
• Maintain a strong, welcoming presence in the lobby.
• Monitor and support lobby ambiance and guest flow.
• Assist Front Office colleagues during peak times.
• Event & Cultural Activation Support.
• Support planning cultural displays and holiday celebrations.
• Collaborate on lobby cultural activations with Marketing and PR.
• Internal Support & Training.
• Provide cultural awareness sessions for colleagues.
• Assist in onboarding by sharing Omani etiquette and heritage.
