Mechanical Estimation and Proposal Engineer

  1. Look after Oil and gas Combustion Equipment package, (Take care of complete mechanical design, Welding Inspection, Site & Installation team coordination)

  2. Review and analyze request for proposals (RFPs), request for quotations (RFQs), Invitation to tender (ITT) and other client requirements.

  3. Preparation of detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other resources related expenses.

  4. Interpret and analyze tender documents, project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.

  5. Preparation of datasheets for mechanical equipment's (Pumps, Blowers, Valves, Filter press, Pressure vessels, and Statics Equipments) based on tender specification.

  6. Design of Pressure Vessels & Stacks, using international Codes and standards.

  7. Preparation, reviewing engineering drawings and loading data.

  8. Preparation, reviewing of Foundation Layouts.

  9. Selection of material based on service requirements.

  10. Evaluate the vendor data sheets & GA Drawings and prepare the documents for client submission.

  11. Purchase Requisition creation and release for Mechanical equipment.

  12. Preparation of valve schedule.

  13. Piping design (Process piping-ASME B 31.3), Selection and sizing of pipes, & valves.

  14. Reviewing of Piping layout & Isometric piping drawings as per P&ID.

  15. Preparation of Technical Queries (TQ), Request for Vendors (RFQ) / Material Requisition.

  16. Carrying out technical bid evaluation and analysis of bids from multiple vendors for technical details and compliance to complete scope of supply.

  17. Material Take-off for skids / packages, etc. and preparing cost estimation sheets.

  18. Preparation of Static, Piping, Structural and Instrument MTO/BOM, for Packages with provided input and hook-up drawings.

  19. Preparation of Skid GA, Platform detail drawings & Lifting Arrangement for Skids, Preparation of Fabrication drawings, Transportation drawings for Pressure Vessels, Reviewing of Pressure Vessel Design calculation and drawings.

  20. Close TQs/TBEs with client and complete estimation based on closed TQs.

Desired Candidate Profile

BE Mechanical (preferred)

  1. 12 years related experience and minimum 7 years' experience Estimation& Proposal writing with good knowledge of Combustion Equipment & modular skids, packaging for Oil & Gas.

  2. Mechanical packages estimation & proposal experience

  3. Knowledge in international codes and standards like API-537, API-521 & API-637& ASME.

  4. Engineering background or a related role.
