Specialist –Translator

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for translating documents and business content from English to Arabic Language and vice versa, while ensuring that the meaning, style, and tone of the original text are accurately conveyed.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in reviewing all English content before publishing to contribute to meticulous and distinctive delivery.

• Translate a variety of written materials, such as documents, reports, websites, legal contracts, manuals, and marketing content, from English to Arabic and vice versa.

• Maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all translations.

• Research specialized terminology and subject-specific vocabulary to ensure accurate translation, especially in technical, legal, or scientific fields.

• Proofread and edit translations to ensure they meet linguistic and cultural standards.

• Work with other team members (e.g., editors, project managers, proofreaders) to ensure timely delivery of translations.

• Ensure all translations are culturally appropriate and sensitive to nuances and regional variations of the target language.

• Manage the relationship and traffic with Translation vendors.

• Support in written content development in Arabic and English when required.

• Keep records of translations and ensure all files are correctly stored.

• Stay up to date with linguistic trends, terminology changes, and tools related to the translation industry.

• Meet deadlines and manage multiple translation tasks simultaneously.

• Provide feedback to improve translation processes and quality.

• Comply with the implementation of the Communications Operations departmental policies and procedures, to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled.

• Comply with all relevant health, safety, and quality requirements, in order to guarantee employee safety and legislative compliance.

• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering 'leading best practices', improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, English Language Studies, English Literature, or any relevant Qualification
• 6 to 8 years of related work experience
• Fluency in English & Arabic is a must
