Job Description

  • Conduct regular HSE inspections on the construction site to verify compliance with the EPC contractor's HSE plan and end-client requirements.
  • Identify hazards, unsafe acts/conditions and issue corrective actions / recommendations.
  • Check implementation of PPE, work permits, lifting operations, work at height, hot works, traffic management, housekeeping, etc.
  • Participate in incident / near-miss reporting and basic investigations as needed.
  • Prepare concise HSE visit reports for the Project Manager and follow up on action closure.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or HSE-related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years' experience in HSE on construction / industrial / energy projects (renewables or power plant experience preferred).
  • Recognised HSE certification (e.g. NEBOSH IGC or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Good knowledge of international HSE standards and best practices.
  • Strong communication, auditing and reporting skills in English.
  • Based in Oman or able to travel regularly to Sohar for site visits.

Additional Information

  • Approx. 9-month assignment with site visits
