We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Omani General Manager / Plant Manager to lead a paper core manufacturing operation in Sohar. This role combines strategic leadership with direct operational oversight, making it ideal for an experienced engineering professional with a passion for manufacturing excellence.

Sohar Paper Core ("SPC") is a paper core manufacturing company located in the Sohar Industrial Area with customers across various industries. SPC has a total headcount of 10 full time employees.



ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES




  1. Operations & Production
  • Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and maintenance schedules.

  1. Team Leadership
  • Supervise and support a small team across production and administration.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
  • Identify training needs and support employee development.

  1. Business & Financial Oversight
  • Monitor operational budgets and cost controls.
  • Prepare regular performance and financial reports for the Steering Committee & the Shareholder.
  • Support pricing strategies and cost optimization.

  1. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers, which include relevant engagements.
  • Ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

  1. Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Comply with all relevant regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and transparency across operations.

 EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS




  1. A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
  2. A minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in packaging or paper products.
  3. Proven leadership in a plant or operations management role.
  4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  5. Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
