OT/ICS/SOC Analyst

We're seeking an experienced
OT/ICS/SOC Analyst

1. OT (Operational Technology)

• Refers to hardware and software that detects or causes changes through direct monitoring and control of physical devices, processes, and events in industrial settings.
• Examples: SCADA systems, PLCs, DCS (Distributed Control Systems)

2. ICS (Industrial Control Systems)

• A subset of OT.
• Used in critical infrastructure sectors like energy, water, manufacturing, etc.
• Often includes SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs.

3. SOC (Security Operations Center) Analyst

• Monitors, detects, analyzes, and responds to cybersecurity incidents.
• In the context of OT/ICS, a SOC analyst needs specific knowledge about industrial environments and protocols (Modbus, DNP3, etc.)

What Does an OT/ICS/SOC Analyst Do?

• Monitor
   industrial environments for cybersecurity threats.
• Analyze
   logs, alerts, and network traffic for anomalies or intrusions.
• Respond
   to incidents while ensuring safety and continuity of industrial operations.
• Collaborate
   with IT and OT teams to implement security controls without disrupting processes.
• Ensure compliance
   with industry standards (e.g., NIST 800-82, ISA/IEC

Key Skills

• Familiarity with ICS protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.)
• Knowledge of industrial hardware (PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems)
• Cybersecurity tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR)
• Incident response and threat hunting
• Networking fundamentals
• Risk assessment and compliance
