Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer based in Oman. The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting workplace conditions, identifying potential hazards, conducting safety training, enforcing compliance with occupational health regulations, performing risk assessments, and contributing to initiatives that ensure safe and sustainable operations. The role emphasizes creating a proactive safety culture in alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Health & Safety and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) practices.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Workplace Safety standards and procedures.
  • NEBOSH certification or equivalent professional qualifications in health and safety.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to fostering a safe working environment.
  • Experience in the mining or resource development industry is an added advantage.
