Job Title: Senior MEP Engineer

Department: Engineering & Projects

Position Title: Senior MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)

Location: Oman

Reports To: Project Manager / Projects Director

Job Purpose: The Senior MEP Engineer is responsible for the design review, planning, execution, and supervision of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works across MCTS construction projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership in managing MEP teams, and ensuring compliance with Omani regulations, client specifications, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Planning: Review and validate MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings. Provide technical input during project planning, tendering, and estimation phases. Ensure integration and coordination of MEP systems with civil and architectural works.
  • Execution & Supervision: Lead site execution of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-current systems. Supervise MEP subcontractors and monitor work progress to meet schedule, quality, and budget. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Quality & Safety: Implement MEP quality control procedures and testing protocols. Ensure safe installation and commissioning of all MEP systems. Conduct technical risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
  • Project Management & Reporting: Prepare and review MEP progress reports, material submittals, and method statements. Support Quantity Surveyors in preparing BOQs, cost control, and variation claims. Lead commissioning and handover processes for MEP systems.
  • Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 10+ years' experience in MEP engineering within construction projects in Oman/GCC. Must hold a valid Oman Society of Engineers (OSE) membership. Must have Oman Municipality / PACDA / Utility Authority licenses relevant to MEP disciplines. Proven experience in managing large-scale building, infrastructure, or industrial projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, and project management software (MS Project/Primavera).
