We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Quantity Surveyor
to join our Contracts & Commercial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, payments, cost control, subcontractor certification, and final accounts. This role is critical to ensuring financial efficiency, contractual compliance, and smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit Interim Payment Applications to clients/consultants, ensuring timely certification and follow-up for payments.
  • Compile and submit Final Payment Applications, including final statements, discharge documentation, and project close-out settlements.
  • Maintain and monitor receivable statements, including final bills and certification records.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs (manual/AutoCAD), bar bending schedules (BBS), and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in line with drawings and technical specifications.
  • Identify and document variations, non-tendered items, provisional sums, and prime cost items.
  • Prepare cost variation requests, submit supporting documentation, and obtain client/consultant approvals.
  • Maintain detailed change logs and provide contractual/commercial feedback to the Project Manager.
  • Evaluate and certify subcontractor payment applications based on site progress.
  • Manage subcontract finalization, including floating inquiries, conducting techno-commercial evaluations, leading negotiations, and finalizing agreements.
  • Support procurement through timely submission of Material Approval Submittals (MAS) and coordination with vendors.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure materials are procured in line with project schedules.
  • Compare BOQs, budgeted costs, and actual expenditures to forecast the cost-to-complete.
  • Prepare and update cash flow forecasts based on project progress and client requirements.
  • Analyze project cost constraints and propose strategies to maintain financial control and meet milestones.
  • Support project financial reviews, MIS reporting, and cost/value reconciliation.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge in QS Procedures, and construction Methodology
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 7-8 Years of experience in reputed construction company.
  • Preference will be given to those having GCC Experience.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contract (FIDIC / Oman Standard Contract preferred).
