The Senior Exadata Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end management of the Exadata infrastructure in the G-Cloud environment. This includes applying upgrades and patches, maintaining Oracle VMs, ensuring system reliability, managing backups, coordinating hardware support, and providing expert-level customer support. The role also extends to working with SAN/KVM servers and OpenStack platforms for VM provisioning and integration with Exadata.
Required Skills
In-depth knowledge of Oracle Exadata administration (compute, storage, networking).
Strong background in patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and backup technologies.
Ability to work in cloud environments and support mission-critical workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and administer Exadata systems across compute nodes, storage cells, and interconnects.
Perform lifecycle management, including patching, firmware upgrades, and system health checks.
Monitor performance, capacity, and availability of the Exadata environment
Manage Oracle VMs deployed on Exadata.
Create and maintain VMs using SAN/KVM infrastructure and integrate with OpenStack.
Ensure resource allocation aligns with business and customer requirements.
