We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join our team in Muscat. The role is responsible for designing, monitoring, and reviewing all systems related to the quality of products and services on the farm. You will ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations, manage product traceability, and maintain accurate records. You will work closely with the General Manager and Corporate QA Manager to maintain the highest quality control standards for incoming and outgoing farm products.

Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control Procedures: Design and ensure compliance with quality control systems for all incoming and outgoing farm products.
  • Product Monitoring: Monitor product quality and safety daily, ensuring it meets EU and/or USDA standards.
  • Sampling & Analysis: Oversee product sampling procedures, schedules, and interpretation of microbiological and chemical analysis results.
  • Product Traceability: Ensure correct identification, labelling, and packaging of all products according to EU/USDA standards.
  • Reporting: Report on the performance of quality functions and provide timely, relevant reports.
  • Maintenance & Equipment Calibration: Assist in ensuring maintenance schedules are adhered to and specialist equipment is calibrated correctly.
  • Product Quarantine & Recall: Implement product quarantine, system reviews, and recalls when necessary.
  • Health & Safety: Assist in maintaining a safe working environment and adhere to the Company Health & Safety Policy.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure proper documentation for quality control procedures, maintenance schedules, and product traceability.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in quality control in the food industry.
  • Education: Qualification in ISO, HACCP, and EU/USDA requirements OR at least 10 years working in a relevant position.
  • Language: Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of food safety, animal and plant health, and bio-security procedures.
  • Ability to implement and manage dynamic quality control systems.
  • Experience with Excel and Word for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to solve problems and work within a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to manage quality control systems effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and relevant standards (ISO, HACCP, EU/USDA).
  • Ability to communicate policies and procedures clearly.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and managing day-to-day challenges.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
