Summary

The Chef De Partie is responsible for preparing menu items for all event orders, ensuring they are presentable and hygienic according to the required standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage all day-to-day operations and timing schedules of the Pastry department within the manufacturing area.
  2. Prepare a wide variety of baked goods such as cakes, pies, doughnuts, and other pastries, following traditional and modern recipes.
  3. Develop, design, and create new pastry ideas and items.
  4. Create innovative desserts to engage customers' interest.
  5. Maintain excellent quality throughout all dessert offerings.
  6. Follow proper handling procedures and maintain correct temperatures of all food products.
  7. Decorate pastries and desserts with icings, toppings, etc., ensuring attractive presentation.
  8. Coordinate activities of pastry staff and workers engaged in food preparation.
  9. Supervise and coordinate pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
  10. Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met.
  11. Assist in food presentation and create decorative cake displays.
  12. Monitor stocks of baking ingredients and make appropriate orders within budget, maintaining daily production reports.
  13. Check the quality of materials and condition of equipment used for cooking.
  14. Report equipment problems and maintenance issues, ensuring safety compliance.
  15. Operate and maintain all equipment, reporting malfunctions.
  16. Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
  17. Encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  18. Serve as a role model by demonstrating appropriate behaviors.
  19. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety standards.
  20. Guide and motivate pastry assistants and staff to work efficiently.
  21. Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station, adhering to health and safety standards.
  22. Ensure culinary standards and responsibilities are met for the pastry team.
Qualifications
  • 2–8 years of experience in pastry arts, especially in croissants, pastries, and cookies.
  • Strong leadership, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and manage multiple tasks.
  • Culinary degree or formal pastry training is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
