Join our Smart Infrastructure EA Customer Services Team as the SCMS and Cybersecurity Commissioning Engineer and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow.

Your Role – International, Challenging And Future-Oriented

In this role you will be performing commissioning of SCMS and Cybersecurity Systems in the region Oman and Middle East. While being part of the team, you will also be involved in the latest solutions on IOT, Cyber Security, Process Bus, etc.

General Responsibilities

• Configure and test Bay Control Units (BCUs), RTUs/PLCs, SCMS systems
• Develop new application solutions with IEC61850, Modbus, Profibus, IEC 101, IEC 104 or other communication protocols relevant in the energy automation field
• Design, configure, conduct FAT and commissioning of Cybersecurity for Substation Automation systems
• Be one of our primary customer interfaces, including trouble shooting and commissioning support
• Occasionally assist in developing new order proposals (bills of materials, clarifying technical comments, etc.)
• Design, development, implementation, testing, and commissioning of protection and control applications and schemes
• Prepare Site Acceptance Test procedures (SAT)
• Configure, test and perform commissioning SCMS for retrofit applications
• Travel to job sites, customer offices and vendors factories expected to be around 75% of total time
• Perform Training on the SCMS system to customer

Your Qualifications And Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation
• Experience: 3 Years
• Knowledge of expertise:
  • Advanced knowledge of substation network topology design; Ring/Star with redundancy protocol RSTP, PRP & HSR
  • Practical knowledge of large 61850 network design, Human-Machine Interface / SCADA Parameterization including implementation of Substation Automation Cyber Security
  • Experience in parameterizing communication protocols, IEC61850, IEC 101, IEC 104
• Hands-on experience in
  • Configuring and testing BCUs with logics
  • Configuring HMIs with SLDs, Alarms, Events, Trends
  • Configuring Gateways to convert various protocols
  • Configuring, integration and troubleshooting of numerical devices and meters to SCMS/RTU systems
• Be on site to lead/participate in FAT and/or SAT and/or commissioning as required by the project
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity in OT Systems including configuration/parameterization of
  • Next Gen Firewall
  • IDS
  • Syslog Server
  • RBAC
  • Hardening
• Awareness of IEC 62443 and IEC 62351 standards
• Any relevant certification: Will be an added Advantage
• Personal skills: Adaptability, problem-solving, cross-cultural collaboration
• Language skills: English

The following experience is not mandatory, however candidates who can demonstrate solid knowledge in these areas will be given extra consideration:

• Knowledge of Siemens relay/automation products and associated software
• Communication Network Technologies, including Design, Configuration, and troubleshooting
• Approval with Utilities and O&G customers in UAE, Oman, Bahrain
• Knowledge of ANSI standards, IEC standards
• SICAM PAS
• SICAM SCC/WinCC
• SICAM A8000 RTU, SICAM 230 SCADA, SICAM AK3, Toolbox II
• DIGSI 4/5
• Logic Building with (CAEx, ST, CFC etc)
• Knowledge of the multiple vendors\' Numerical Relays products and associated software
• C, VB Programming Language experience
