The Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care & Research Center (SQCCCRC) in Muscat Oman is a Quaternary care level center providing care for adult patients with solid malignancies (No hematological malignancies).

SQCCCRC is seeking to appoint a Quality Supervisor Department of Radiology & Nuclear Medicine, who is a highly motivated individual to develop her/his professional career within the SQCCCRC.

The Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine in the Oncology Centre provides a high-level service in cancer diagnosis, staging, therapy, therapeutic monitoring, and research. Our department features state-of-the-art equipment that includes: PET/CT, multi-slice quantitative SPECT/CT, Dual energy CT, 3T MRI, Ultrasound, angiography suite, General fluoroscopy and digital mammography with tomosynthesis, and Iodine therapy ward.

Qualification/ Experience Requirements:

  • The applicant's background should be either Radiology/NM technologist, Medical Physics, or Health care quality improvement.
  • Applicants should have a BSc degree in either Radiology/NM technologist, Medical Physics, or Health care quality improvement.
  • A Master's Degree and prior experience in Quality improvement in Radiology & Nuclear Medicine would be preferred.
  • The applicant with a proven track record in getting the department accredited by an international accreditation body such as ACI, JCI, QUANNUM, and QUADRIL would be preferred.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Provides major leadership for development, direction, and maintenance of the quality program in the department.
  • Coordinates CQI activities of various sections in the department.
  • Coordinates and seamlessly merges departmental CQI activities with the hospital CQI activities.
  • Establishes departmental required organizational practices (ROP) in seamless continuity with hospital-wide ROPs.
  • Develops and periodically reviews policies and procedures for the department.
  • Develops, reviews, and performs KPIs for the department.
  • Coordinates regular audits and implements changes resulting from the audits.
  • Ability to motivate and lead multidisciplinary personnel and act in a lead functional role in translating Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) Program requirements into improvements in patient care activities.
  • Ability to mentor and lead peers and subordinates in the implementation and compliance with QA program requirements.
  • Takes the lead in getting accreditation of the department by various international accreditation agencies.

Salary will be based upon experience and qualification, using Oman Medical Bylaw.
