We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting and financial management, with a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely financial reports and analyses.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting systems.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Analyse financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads and executive leadership, to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
    Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting procedures and enhance productivity.
  • Stay informed about developments in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring the company's accounting practices remain current and compliant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting and business practices.
